Here’s my rendition of the inside of an iron ore dock located in the downtown harbor of Marquette, Michigan. Based on an analog photograph from the 1970’s, this interior chamber has a length of approximately 500 feet, with a ceiling height of 60 feet. The octagon shaped pools of water stretch from end to end, serving as structural buffers to displace strong waves during storms, and, during sunny days, cast refracting light through the water as colorful reflections across the pillars and ceiling. Prints are available in my gallery at Pixels. Enjoy!
