Located at the Cumberland Mountain State Park in Tennessee, the Byrd Lake Bridge Dam was constructed in 1938 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Company 3464, forming a 35-acre lake for recreation. Prints available.
This photograph of cascades running along Richland Creek was taken while hiking on the Laurel-Snow Trail, in Dayton, Tennessee. You can find fine prints and more in my galleries at ArtPal and Pixels. Thanks for visiting!
The future. The past. Take your pick, adjust the dial, lock into position and press the green button labeled “GO”. It’s that easy. Although, it should be noted that, while this technologically advanced portal through space and time can take you anywhere, you may never return to the present. Just thought I’d mention that. Have a nice trip!
But, before you go, make sure to visit the following shops to discover some really cool merchandise – posters, t-shirts, coffee mugs and so on. Thanks!
Below you’ll find a product of which I own several and can recommend. If you’d like to see what it is, you can take your chances and simply press the green button labeled “GO”. It’s that easy.
This graphic pattern design features layered geometric shapes and an autumnal earth tones color palette. It’s now available on a variety of great gift and apparel items in these print on demand shops: Redbubble, Society 6 and Tee Public. I hope you’ll stop by sometime to find something you like. Thanks!
Leaving the Laurel-Snow Trail to climb a hill and step into the forest, I stepped back in time 100 years. At that time and earlier, the Dayton Coal & Iron Company had a mining operation at this Dayton, Tennessee location, along Richland Creek. Now, when exploring off the beaten trail, hikers can observe structural vestiges of that era, as seen in these photographs:

With the water low, I was able to explore Richland Creek more closely. Seen here, morning sunlight has crested the gorge walls, casting reflections of gold and green upon largely still, shallow waters. A peaceful, beautiful scene.
If you have an empty wall at home and would be interested in a fine print of my photography, then you can visit any of the following shops to find the perfect addition as home decor:

I originally wrote this poem on December 22, 2020, in response to reading “Make a Wish to a Star and It Will Come True“, by Carla Milho, a very lovely lady and talented writer from Lisbon, Portugal. I then posted it on my site a few days later, as part of a compilation. And, now…freestanding.
⭐ A light to the east, After dark In the sky. 🕊 A dove is released, And my wish Came to fly. 🙏 Bound for the heavens, With trust In a prayer. ❤️ The woman I love, With hope We will share.

If you see a reflective blue sphere lodged in a mysterious terrain of sharp peaks, one thing is certain – you’re not in Kansas, anymore! In fact, this digital fantasy landscape is based upon a fractal design which I made in Tennessee. Far-out, huh? You can enjoy my design on a plethora of products when you visit the following shops:
Thanks for stopping by!
Located in a gorge along Richland Creek in Dayton, Tennessee, the Laurel-Snow Trail provides hikers with many scenic landscapes, waterfalls and rocky waterways. During the early 1900’s, the area was home to the Dayton Coal & Iron Company, with many remnants from that era still intact today – mine shafts, arches, retaining walls, structural supports of old railways, etc..
The park also has many massive rocks scattered along the creek, including this 40-foot tall boulder (see photograph). Though the water was low during my recent visit, this affords one the opportunity to more closely explore the creek bed. If you haven’t hiked this area, you really should check it out…there’s so much to see!
Fine prints and more are available in my gallery at Pixels. So, stop by to find the perfect accent piece for a wall in your home or workplace – or, as a gift!
Situated on the eastern edge of the Crab Orchard Mountains on the Cumberland Plateau, in Cumberland County, Tennessee, Ozone Falls stands an impressive 110-feet tall and provides visitors with wonderful – and, rather loud – scenery. You can enjoy this landscape at home or in your office, when you select a print from my galleries at Pixels and/or Redbubble.
Thanks a bunch!
Extreme Sports: I found this video on YouTube from 2016, featuring a daredevil kayaker (Dane Jackson) making a descent over Ozone Falls…
Having read “How a workation from Shillong looked like” by Mukti Masih, a very beautiful poetess, Christian, chai-totaler and successful Content Writer from Indore, India – wherein she recounts a visit to one of her favorite cities while working to complete a second book – I was inspired to write this short poem in response…
By wi-fi she works
From the mountains of Shillong
In the markets and parks, then back home
Unlocking her words
That her heart may sing on key
Through prayer, by her love, in a poem

Standing 20-feet tall in the Frozen Head State Park of Tennessee, Emory Gap Falls can be enjoyed on a 3 mile out and back hike. As with many other waterfalls, it’s best to visit the site following rain – especially during summer months. As seen here, the area also provides interesting geological features. You can visit my galleries at Pixels and ArtPal to discover fine prints & more!

Standing a meager 12-feet tall, Baby Falls nevertheless packs a wallop when it comes to natural beauty. One of my favorites falls to visit, it’s located on the Tellico River in the Cherokee National Forest of the Southern Appalachian Mountains of eastern Tennessee.
