This science fiction scene began as a simple fractal design which I created and imported into Photoshop, and then into Bryce. There, I was able to stretch the image upward to generate a peaked display. Next, I assigned a dull gold material to the image and positioned several large spheres in sequence around the circumference of the fractal. Radial lights were then added for brightness, and the camera position was moved closer for a macro perspective. Lastly, a smaller sphere was added into a recessed center.
Importing fractal designs into three dimensional space can be a lot of fun, especially when the final product turns out well.
