On Bike With Camera In Ann Arbor, MI

This morning at 6:20 a.m., I brought my camera along for a ride into the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Stopping at several spots long the way to take photographs – three of which are presented below – the campus at the University of Michigan was quiet.

Geometric Gold Sphere

This interesting gold geometric sphere was constructed within the last few years near the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB), located where Washtenaw Avenue turns into Huron Street. I’d estimate it to be approximately 15 feet tall.

Rustic Anchor

Beyond the University of Michigan Dental School, I observed this rustic anchor as I peddled towards South University Avenue. I’m sure that it is quite old, and, at roughly 5 feet long, very heavy – a rather unusual sight, worthy of a picture!

Scholarly Face

Next, I photographed this scholarly face adorning the gothic architectural buildings comprising the exterior walls of the Law Quad. Located at the intersection of South University Avenue and State Street, the interior area features a peaceful courtyard.
