Bridge Over Icy Waters

I took this photograph several years ago while it was snowing in Michigan. Specifically, this is a branch of the Huron River, as seen from Island Drive in Ann Arbor. Prints available through Pixels and ArtFlakes. Thanks for stopping by!

Golden Shade of Autumn

Dry leaves crackle as I step along a hillside by the river, at peace in the forest beneath the vibrant, golden shade of autumn.

This photograph was taken along the Huron River in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I finally added it to my gallery at Pixels, today. If you’d like to see more, several different print-types are available (framed, canvas, art, metal, acrylic and wood).

Snow In The Woods

Although falling snow can sometimes serve as an impediment for good photographs – large, blurred streaks – my walk today in the snow covered forest was a pleasant excursion into nature, where I found several nice winter scenes along the way. The trail I followed is located at Island Drive Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan, meandering aside the Huron River near the soccer fields of Fuller Park.

The Huron River

In speaking with my father, today, our conversation included the topic of rivers. So, I thought I’d post this photograph of the Huron River in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a scenic view north of the Argo Dam. It’s now available in my gallery at Fine Art America – check it out…

Barton Dam

Built in 1912-1913, Barton Dam is one of Ann Arbor’s four dams on the Huron River. It stands 34 feet high and 1767 feet long. This hydroelectric power facility has a 900-kilowatt turbine that generates 4.2 million kWh per year. Guests are invited to visit my gallery at Fine Art America to review a variety of prints and other items featuring this photograph.

Sunrise Over The Huron River

Perhaps twilight, not sunrise, better describes this early hour on the Huron River in Ann Arbor, Michigan. So early, in fact, that not a single rower was boating yet – this being a favorite stretch of the river for such exercise. Peaceful and calm, with faint reflections of clouds unbroken, though periodically a fish would surface to stir ripples into the water. Interested guests may visit my gallery at Fine Art America for more…
