Art In Nature
I shot this photograph several years ago, while living in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, during a period where temperatures were sustained near zero degrees fahrenheit. Over this time, the wind went to work by carving frigid snow drifts to produce this artful display. Perhaps you may enjoy this image, also. If so, I have several print types available in my gallery. So, stop by and find something you like. Thanks!
Locked in the ice of a frozen sea on a distant planet, this surreal arc of rings and glowing blue sphere stand alone on a barren landscape. But, whatever you do, don’t risk your life going out on the ice for a closer look! Instead, visit my shops at Society 6 and Redbubble to discover some cool stuff…without swimming in ice water.
Prints available. This black and white winter photograph was taken of historic cabins located in Cades Cove, a popular tourist area in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Prints available. Photographed along the 11-mile scenic drive at Cades Cove, a popular national park in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, these two deer were part of a larger group enjoying breakfast.
Prints available. Obviously, it was below freezing during my recent visit to Cades Cove, a popular tourist attraction in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. This harsh weather, however, kept people away and I was able to enjoy the 11-mile scenic drive at a slow pace, often stopping in the road to take photographs from the comfort of my heated vehicle – as seen here.
Prints available. I photographed these three deer grazing for breakfast in a frozen field at Cades Cove, a national park in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
It was cold yesterday morning during my visit to Cades Cove, located near Townsend, Tennessee, and the fields & trees were completely covered with a thin layer of ice.
Cades Cove is a broad, verdant valley surrounded by mountains and is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smokies.National Park Service
