I shot this photograph several years ago, while living in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, during a period where temperatures were sustained near zero degrees fahrenheit. Over this time, the wind went to work by carving frigid snow drifts to produce this artful display. Perhaps you may enjoy this image, also. If so, I have several print types available in my gallery. It was as if I’d entered a temperate-climate rain forest, with trees covered in a thick, green moss. I recently hiked House Mountain, the tallest point in Knox County, Tennessee, located near Corryton. With an elevation of 2,110 feet above sea level, hikers may ascend 1,000 feet from the surrounding valley on either the blue (Mountain) or white (West Overlook) trail.
