Black And White Trail

This black and white photograph features long shadows along a trail on Mount LeConte. In the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, it’s the tallest mountain located entirely within the state. Prints are available.

Landslide Shadows

Following a recent period of excessive rainfall, I visited a quarry at Fort Dickerson Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, and, while hiking, discovered a landslide along an 80-100′ hillside. With the sun at my back, this photograph captured my shadow – my legs in the foreground, and the rest of my shadow downhill in the background.

I’ve added this image to my gallery at Fine Art America. Stop by for a visit!

Redbud Grove

Long shadows stretch from the trees at Redbud Grove, as a lowering sun reluctantly yields to evening. Photographed in Ann Arbor, Michigan. You can enjoy this image at any time of the day – at home or in the office – by visiting my gallery at Fine Art America. Thanks for stopping by!

Nefthus

I took this photograph in 2006 of our cat, Nefthus, who would frequency follow the sun around the house throughout the day, basking in its warmth. This particular scene from the office includes a desk (left), the shadow of venetian blinds (cast from right to left), a second set of taller venetian blinds (foreground, used as a room divider), and Nefthus, slumbering while sporting a recent hair cut. I thought that positioning the camera at an angle would serve to add interest, as well as changing the picture to black and white. See more in my gallery at Fine Art America.
