Everyone has experienced turbulent situations where it isn’t necessarily easy to maintain composure, to remain calm. That’s not the case here, though: these stacked stones retain balance, despite chaos all around.

I looked at my watch and realized that it was time to go, 6:05 a.m., so I filled my water bottle, grabbed my camera and hopped on my bike for a short three mile ride to the Huron Parkway. At 50 degrees fahrenheit, the path was quiet this morning, sparse with people exercising early to begin the day.
